river rain

Raging, roaring
a creature possessed
breaking bounds
the river turns into ocean
the peepul tree dances, the sky comes alive.

sublime, awesome
ecstatic epiphany
rajghat river
river rain.

aaahhh...
now this is the one that breaks the mould for me. the others are good but this made me stop. shruts, you should experiment with more subjects like this.

You liked this one, chandni?? how come?? I mean ok, broadly mine are either love/emotional poetry or nature poetry, though theer are a few that don't fall into either of these ultra mundane and stereotypical categories... but as for river rain... I love the title, but somehow didn't think the poem worked out. there are a lot of others which sound justn "right" to me... this one doesn't somehow...

as for Trees... suggest a title then, m'dear...
anyhow, I am honoured that chandni got time to read my blgo and post...

remember Vivek?? the poetry workshop in 3rd year?? he said it's better to actually sue words to show the event rather than using words to show the effect they had on you... to describe it in such a way that it evokes the feeling in the redaer rather than telling the reader what to feel in so many words... and looking at my poem, I think he's right...

but then, each poem holds something diffrent for each reader, so you can be right as well...
